About this event

This Months Book: The Aviator's Wife by Melanie Benjamin

This is an historical novel about the lives of Charles Lindbergh and Anne Morrow. This is the story of Anne Morrow’s life and what it was like to be married to someone very famous. Things were somewhat different in the 50s. Some of the situations are about an earlier time. For example women were expected to support their husband even if they didn’t agree with them.I think some of that has changed since then. The Lindberghs had to put up with too much publicity. Famous people get too much publicity to have a normal life and this is a first person look inside all of that!

The SAIL Book Club is open to all members of SAIL and meets on the third Wednesday of each month virtually. Please register online at SAIL or call if that’s not possible. Books are chosen by Book Club members that are readily available at the library and have been read and recommended by a member of the SAIL Book Club.
The next book is available after each discussion or delivered to you if needed.
