Governance of SAIL
SAIL is a program of the Madison Area Continuing Care Consortium, Inc. (MACCC). Established in 1998, MACCC is a non-profit organization whose mission is "to work collaboratively with older adults, their families, caregivers, physicians, payers, and providers to enhance the health, wellness, independence, and quality of life of older persons."
There are four member organizations of MACCC which include two continuing care retirement communities, a home health agency and a hospice care organization. All four are non-profits and are considered by many as the best healthcare and senior housing providers in our community. Not only that, all four provide substantial charitable work in our community through their services, financial assistance, and volunteerism.
Each organization's executive leader serves on the MACCC Board of Directors as well as their appointees from the community. Demonstrating their commitment to older adults, the sponsoring organizations have contributed to the growth of SAIL in numerous ways through grants, in-kind gifts and professional consultation. Investing in the development and continuation of SAIL is a reflection of their commitment to improving the lives of seniors in our community now and in the future. Dane County's rapidly growing population of older adults creates the need for innovative programs such as SAIL.
We invite you to visit the websites of the MACCC organizations for more information about their services in our community.
